Any solutions to the mucus stuck in throat problems?

I was just wondering if anybody had found something that works to get rid of the mucus plugs in their throats.

I am wondering the same thing. I've tried drinking a lot of water and gargling but neither seems to help. In fact, drinking a lot of liquids sometimes makes it worse! Do you have excess saliva also? If I find something that helps I'll let you know.

I have it also. Would like suggestions as well. I drink lots of water, seems to increase it, and swallow a lot.

My ENT recommended Mucinex for this. He said the mucous needs to be thinned. I took Mucinex for about a week, along with my every day Nexium, and those plugs haven't come back even though I still have my other LPR symptoms (mainly non-stop cough). Hope this helps.

I find that it is often from the reflux and then the Mucinex doesn't help so I take either 2 pepcid or Maalox Total(used to be max) Somehow the plugs seem to come up easily.
