Has anyone with GERD experienced this? Has anyone been told by their dcctors this is normal? I am now starting to think I may have something more serious since this been going on for a couple of weeks. If you read my previous posts I have seen many doctors and I have another appointment with my GI tomorrow and hopefully he can give some answers. It is really, really frustrating since I get hunger pains and yet have no appetite. The only hope I have is I do also have issues with my throat (which is still bothersome, sore throat, throat clearing) so that tells me it may indeed be acid reflux/GERD. Recently, I have also had a weird chest feeling and nausea right below my breastbone. Can anyone share their past experiences with me? Thanks!

I lost 50 lbs when I first got real sick. I look back and wonder how I made it. I just didn't feel like eating most of the time. No real pain but would come home straight from work and go to bed.

Thanks for replying! How long did your severe GERD last? I started off with symptoms of a lump in throat and then acidic burping. Did you have the same thing?

Hi Gar,

Yes, I've experienced total Loss of Appetite with my GERD. For me, I think part of it is that I know how terrible I'll feel after I eat - so I don't want to eat.

I hope you feel better soon and you received some answers from your doctor. Take care.

Hi, Im just hoping that my loss of appetite is from my GERD. I wont know for until I have my endoscopy done. Hope you feel better!
