Today Im going back to the Ent for follow up and to let him know I still am having these coughing fits with the tickle thing. I will let you know when I come back what he says.

Well the Lpr is really bad and I need to get an endoscopy done. I will let you know when I get the results on that.

Hi, what symtoms do you get, and what is it you now have to have done.
I have had a cough for 5 yrs now, mainly at night i cough for hours. But when im on the phone i cough till i choke. and also my food sometimes touches a very sort of sensitive bit in my throat and this starts me off. the trouble i have is, i dont just cough, i cough and cough and cough until i am almost sick, i have to retch and this seems to then stop the cough!!!!!!
This is so embarressing when i out.

I and others would appreciate knowing what your doctor tells you.
I have the same problem. And I am not talking about the lump in the throat, which seems to be there most of the time.
I would compare this to a scratching sensation in my throat that varies in intensity and comes out of the blue. Sometimes it comes on so strong it brings tears to my eyes rightaway. Sometimes it is milder at first, gradually becoming more intense, until it becomes strong enough to make my eyes water. What causes this? I taste no acid.
