Pain in the chest
I am wondering whether this could be acid reflux related. I had suffered from a shortness of breath for months before it grew so severe I could barely move or do anything. Whether or not it was caused by acid reflux entirely I am not sure. After I started taking Nexium, the shortness of breath slowly disappeared over a period of about one to two weeks. I could feel it lurking and have managed to keep it away by being careful not to overexert myself. If I do, I become breathless.
Anyway, I am having a pain in my right chest (not cardiac pain) today with each breath. It is in the lung area and hurts all the way to the shoulder. I have not done anything at all that I can think of that might have brought this on. I don't have a cold. All I did yesterday was shop. Same today. If I take a deep breath it hurts. If I breathe shallowly, it doesn't. Have any of you experienced this? I just don't want my old problems coming back.... I know my breathing difficulties were at least partly due to the reflux or my hiatal hernia or both. I always had stomach symptoms & discomfort/pain with my shortness of breath.
