Can anyone help? Stomach Issues - is this reflux? - Acid Reflux / GERD Message Board

Hi,

For the past couple of days I have been having stomach issues. It all started when I was in my car driving, my stomach became upset and I became real nauseous. I ended up making it home, but still felt nauseous for most of the day. Then at night, I noticed I felt acid in my throat (reflux?), this went on for most of the night. Every morning now, I seem to wake up with an upset stomach and lost of gurgling with my stomach.

For the most part, I feel acid in my throat, the nauseous feeling is still there sometimes, but not as bad.

This happened to me once before and lasted for about a month. Had an endoscope and Dr didn't find anything. Took pepcid and prilosec with no relief.

Any ideas?

Do you still have your gallbladder?
Waking up in the middle of the night with gallbladder pains is quite common they tell me.

it does sound like reflux. try anti-acids?

It sounds like you need to raise the head of your bed 6-8 inches and ask your doc for a trial dose of Nexium. That is if OTC doesn't work for you. Also, change your diet and lifestyle, although this doesn't solve the problem for many. They say not to eat for 3 hours before bedtime but I find that 4-5 is much better for me. FLFLOWERGIRL

You might try an alkaline diet.

Cut out caffeine, alchohol, sugar, wheat and gluten products. In other words, eat mainly fruits and vegetables.
