how long for ranitidine ti kick in? - Acid Reflux / GERD Message Board

I just took my first ranitidine at 11am this morning (prescribed 300mg but only took 75mg coz i'm a wuss) and at half past i still feel the same?

does anyone know how long it takes to absorb and start easing my tummy? ive heard its between 2/3 hours but that doesnt sound right?

If you have been suffering for a while - it could take a few days (at proper dose) to take full effect.

I have fears of taking medications too - so I know how you feel. Try to up the dose though and give it a few days to see if you get any relief.
