I do not think that you should give a child, especially one so young, Pepto Bismol. Not only does it say on the bottle it should not be used in children under the age of 12, it is not really meant to treat acid reflux. The main ingredient in Pepto Bismol is bismuth subsalicylate (which is from the same family as acetylsalicylic acid/aspirin) which in rare cases can cause Reyes Syndrome in children.
From what I looked up it says Gastroesophageal Reflux is very common in infants - it is just another name for "spitting up." It also says in more severe cases there
are treatment options, so you should ask your doctor for more information.
