I have found it gives you a burning sensation / strange itchy feeling in ears and a sore tongue.

I have intense pain in my left ear almost every day. I have read that Gerd and LPR can cause ear pain but the ENTs I have seen told me that it shouldn't be so severe.

pain in the ear is caused by reflux coming up when your sleeping. It reaches your throat and goes up into the tubes that connect to your ear. Sleep on a slant to prevent it.
