Hi,

I'm not sure if what I have is the same as some others here. I see the word or initials...GERD...and don't know what it means however, I will describe my symptoms and maybe someone can help me.

I've had reflux for many years, and an ulcer. On medication for both, use 2 pillows at night....nothing is working. I usually eat dinner at 6pm every night, and at about 2 - 3 am, I vomit everything up. This has been going on for years and I'm sick of it. I saw my surgeon several years ago but in those days you had to have your whole chest opened to fix it, now apparently they can do it with key hole surgery, which doesn't sound nearly as frightening.

Has anyone else had these symptoms or the operation?
