How can this be? - Acid Reflux / GERD Message Board

My LPR has always been a problem for the last 3 years but not as bad as I've read most of you talk about your LPR. I've even had times when it didn't bother me at all. So it came back a couple weeks ago, not to bad but back. I decided to go after it big time, I decided to take PPI's, which I haven't taken in a long time. I actually took the recommended dosage of two a day for LPR. Now I can't even swallow, it's worse then it's ever been. How can that be? If it's acid and I remove the acid how can I not be able to swallow? So I'm better off not taking anything? What the hell? It hurts to swallow food, I never had it that bad. I take recommended dosage of PPI's and now I can't swallow? I'm getting ****ed off now.

i often wonder if my lpr is worse from the ppi, or wether thats just my lpr...
you could see by going of it for a couple of days....im to scared to go of my ppi, but may have to as i want to get preggie and althou ppi is Bgrade still bit scared.......this thing does sux big time!!!! sorry i cant really help, but hope you feel better soon.........
