I vomit randomly in the night and i dont know why?? - Acid Reflux / GERD Message Board

This is difficult to explain so i am going to start with an example....

I wake up at 2am with a terrible fever going from very hot to very cold and feeling naucious and then i vomit every 15 mins or so until morning. I dont really vomit food either its more bile and stomach acid and the fever continues all night also. This happens every few weeks or sometimes more often and always around the same time of night till morning with the same fever.

I cannot find what the cause is and know it cannot be a bug or virus ect because of the randomness of it happening and it doesnt relate to food it seems. I do have IBS and am taking the contraceptive pill and have been for a few years now and I know its neither of them and I ave tried eating different things ect to see if it effects it but it doesnt....
Can anyone help!?

HAve you MD test you for HPylory Bacterial infection. That type is usualy in your digestive track, and keeps reocurring every so often. You might need a heavy dose of antibiotics. I get the same problem, been hospitalised several times and keeps comming back.

Ok, this isn't going to be much help, but maybe you can do a little more research on it.

I was watching "Mystery Diagnosis" like a week ago and there was a story about a girl who had almost the exact same thing, except she slept right through it. She'd cough, sit up, vomit, and go back to sleep.
Unfortunately (and this is where I'm not of much help) I fell asleep before I found out what the cause it.
BUT apparently stuff like this happens. Talk to you MD, or get a referral to a gastroenterologist. Don't give up! Someone will be able to help you out!
