I no longer have reflux and none of the prescribed antacids helped. In fact, they sometimes made it worse. I read the problem is not enough of the different type of acid needed for digestion. What type? The type found in fruit. Every time I eat anything with fats in like bread, pastry, cakes etc. in fact after every meal I eat half of an orange, and also have lemon juice in warm water. Other fruits, and natural fruit juices help as well. Brings the wind up and eventually shifted the problem for me. If I overdo things with the fruit, I just tip the balance back with a drink of milk.
