Ongoing nausea for almost a year now

Not sure if this is the right place to post this but here goes my story. I'm 21 and i used to drink quite a bit, usually just on weekends but still pretty heavily. I think it first kind of started when i noticed that i was never hungry and that i could go a whole day without eating and feel fine. I remember i would get a piece of lemon loaf from the coffee shop and not even be able to finish half of it because i had no appetite. That lasted for a week or so and then i was able to eat a bit more but still my appetite wasnt quite the same. Then i got laid off from my job ( i was a welder ) and went on EI (Employment insurance) until they had more work for me. They called me back but i was going to go back to school so i never went back to work. At the time i was living with 4 other guys in a big apartment with cheap rent. So you can imagine it was party time all the time seeing as most of the other guys were unemployed too and on EI. So one week , i think it was on a wednesday or thursday we just started drinking and having parties non stop at my place for almost a week. I would start drinking at around noon or earlier and wouldnt stop drinking till about three or so in the morning and then get up and do it all again the next day. I think it was on saturday night when we were drinking again as usual,(I had never done it before and haven't done it since) my friend told me he had some cocaine and at that point i wasnt going to try it but as the night went on i got more drunk and decided i was going to try some. I didnt do very much but it was enough to keep me from sleeping all night. I ended up staying up all night and all the next day drinking and went for dinner at the pub that was just down the street and had some french fries and some beers. I bought another case of beer and decided i was going to drink all night but by the time i got home i felt that enough was enough and i was going to go to bed. So i went to sleep at about ten pm that night. Woke up the next day and went for breakfast. As i was waiting for my food to arrive i was drinking water because i was dehydrated of course and i wasnt drinking coffee because my stomach has never been able to handle coffee untill later on in the day when ive had breakfast and lunch. But as i drank the water i started feeling really nauseous so i went to the bathroom and had a poo ( sorry dont know how to say it politely). It made me feel better and by the time i got back my food was waiting for me on my table. As i ate the food i started feeling reall nauseous and so i went to the bathroom again to do what i had done before. But this time i was really really nauseous and ended up being stuck in the bathroom for almost an hour trying to make myself feel better so i could pay and then walk across the street to my apartment. I finally felt good enough to get back to my apartment. And for the next three days i didnt eat any food only drank little bits of water and just lied in bed all day and all night. So i finally went back to my parents house so i wouldnt be around all the partying and stuff. I felt a bit better when i was at my parents house but i still could not leave the house go for a walk or even go for a car ride. I felt this way for two months straight. It felt as if my stomach stopped working and it just kept on getting filled up with food but never emptying. It was like drinking a pop and really needing a burp to take the pressure off your stomach but the burp never came. And that still happens if i drink any kind of fizzy drink and even with food. Sometimes i would wake up in the middle of the night and feel really sick almost like stomach flu kind of sick. And also i would feel really nauseous if i was nervous. Eventually it started to get better so i could do some things around the house outside. But still at the dinner table i would get full really fast, i couldnt eat a full plate of whatever we were having for dinner. And i still cant. This all lasted for two months and then i was able to go hang out with friends little by little and even go for car rides and stuff like that. And then it got really good and i could go camping and i could even drink beer again and stuff but i would feel really really bad in the morning. As before i could drink till 3 or 4 in the morning and feel fine the next day. So i stayed on EI from febuary till the end of july and got a job at a scrap metal yard nearby at the begining of august. I worked there till mid october and thats when the symtoms came back. Now every morning i feel really really sick and nauseous, and cannot do anything till around noonish. And even then its pretty bad i just have to work through it and then im okay. What seems to help is if i have a bottle of water because my throat gets dry when i feel like im about to puke and it kind of settles my stomach. When i get nervous i get really nauseous as well. And i have quit drinking all together so it cant be that anymore. And i get full really fast again too. I have had numerous blood tests ive had an ex ray and just had an ultra sound last week. And am scheduled to do a gastropy i think? The doctor also prescribed a drug to me called maxban or maxran i think. Also short little coughs and clearing my throat makes my stomach feel better. And i do have mild heart burn. And most of the time i have constipation where i can get a bit out but not all of it. And then other times i have really bad diarhea. And if i eat any kind of greasy food doesnt matter how much i always feel nauseous and have to go the bathroom to relieve myself. I can no longer stand living like this because it has been since mid october that i have been feeling like this. And havent been able to work. Im sorry that i wrote so much i just wanted to be really thorough about it all so that it would give you more insight into my problem. If you could please give me any advice of what to do or what to tell the doctor that would be awesome.

Re: Ongoing nausea for almost a year now

hi so sorry you are feeling so bad this is a great forum with lots of great people. we are alll here trying to figure out our stomach issues..........that was certainly a huge ammount of acholol you drank!!!!! acholcol and give you gastritis which is inflamation of the stomach symptoms are early fullness, neasea, burning in stomach, haertburn, vomitiing etc..............alos maybe gasroparies which can give the fullness feeling and other stuff you mentioned....it bascally means your stoamch muscles are not contracting so food sits around in your stomach for ages instead of being pushed throu to your intestines..................

an endescoery exploratory operation would show gastritis/ulcers, i would also get a hida scan for gallbladder or ultrsound, and a stomach empting test............i have severe neasea as well as LPR and getting lower stomach cramps have to try and get more some tests down for this as well..ness
good luck i sure other people will rely wiht some more ideas to ness
