LPR/GERD & Brain Fog

So, I've been having several symptoms, mostly sinus, for the last 3 years. One of the most debilitating is the so called "brain fog," and I've recently started considering LPR or a related condition as the source of my woes. Other symptoms include post nasal drip, lump in my throat, coughing, headaches, wheeziness, and a couple extended (week or so) bouts of heartburn.

I'm planning to see a Doc and get evaluated for LPR, but I have one question. I haven't seen much mention of brain fog on this board, but I tend to think it can result whenever the sinuses are involved. Has anyone else suffered this as a result of LPR or GERD?

Thanks!

Re: LPR/GERD & Brain Fog

I remember when first diagnosed (after many years) that I felt just sort of "out of it" a lot, just not good. So, very well could be all a part of all the problems reflux can cause. I know it's done much damage to me over the years and there's still lots of days it gets the best of me. The sinus thing is enough to drive me crazy and I'm crazy enough as it is! Good Luck.

Re: LPR/GERD & Brain Fog

I have all the same symptoms as you and I am sure I have LPR. And yes I have the brain fogginess thing too. I am not sure what that is from but I do get that too on top of everything else. I hope you are feeling better. Let us know if you got seen and how you are treating your LPR if you have that.
