Confused about LPR

I was diagnosed with LPR. I also had a Bravo test which confirmed that I reflux too often. An Ent diagnosed the LPR. I have been reading things that suggest that instead of having too much acid, you can have too little and that taking proton pump inhibitors can cause more harm than good. Has anyone else heard anything about this? I have been taking prilosec 2 times a day for over 2 years. The gastro dr that did the bravo test, keeps having me come back every couple months to see how I am doing, but never mentions sending me back to the ENT to have my vocal cords checked to see it they are healed. I just don't know what to think. Help!!!!

Re: Confused about LPR

Read my message to the above poster. Will save a lot of time! As you will read, I think I've heard and tried it all. I do advise a gastro and upper endo but have found with LPR that a good ENT spec to be your best bet. Finding gastro and ENT that will work together would be great!
