Clonazepam - Acid Reflux / GERD Message Board

Has anyone here ever been prescribed Clonazepam for their acid reflux (along with the PPI)? One of my doctors prescribed it but I've since seen several gi's who have no idea why and have said they've never heard of such a thing. But that first doctor who prescribed it wouldn't go into detail, he just said it's for the stomach. Can anyone make any sense of this?

Hi Zoe-I take Clonazapam for anxiety Pantaloc for GERD. Maybe he feels you have some anxiety which may be causing some acid reflux??

I also take clonazepam at bedtime and have for a long time. I sleep very well and it never seems to cause a problem. In fact, it probably helps some since I never have reflux problems after I go to bed. I take Nexium in the morning .
