acid reflux spasms when sleeping ??? - Acid Reflux / GERD Message Board

HI
I have suffered with HB and acid reflux for years . I have been on every kind of medicine for it . I have tried vinegar , honey and ginger ! nothing helps ..
after I have gone to bed and off to sleep , I get the weirdest spasms that wake me up . It feels like a lightening zap . What is going on ? Has anyone ever had this ??
Through out the day . I burp constantly ! I have just tried Reglan . I pray this helps !
But this weird " zap " is driving me crazy ..

Yes, I have had that. It feels like electricity in the throat. Short blasts. I think it is when the normal esaphogus and throat are irritated by the acid. It started shortly before I had the throat start to burn. Since I'm in the healing process it hasn't occured.
