First a bit of background. 24 years old, male. About 7 months ago I suddenly had a nausea after dinner and by night I had vomited. From then on I have been having this nauseous feeling in the back of my throat. I have had an upper endoscopy performed where bile reflux was diagnosed and I have been on several drugs including but not limited to (if I can spell these right) sucralfate, lansoprazole, pantoprazole, omeprazole, Imipramine(apparently one doctor thought I was depressed), ranitadine .
None of the medications have had any immediate positive effects. As for long term effects, I am not ?really sure if I have been getting better, I think I feel better now than I did 6 months ago but it maybe just that I haven't been doing any work lately and have just been sleeping around.
My question is that if its normal for a doctor to write a prescription and send you away for a month? I feel like this scheme has wasted a lot of my time.
Secondly although a dozen blood tests showed that nothing else was wrong with me, but given that I have spent the last 6 months being treated for bile reflux with no prevail, I am beginning to suspect that the reflux is not my primary problem. Any comments?
And finally, what's in these pills? I feel like my life is sucked out of me.
Meanwhile I'll go and get some apple cider vinegar, some people in the forum seem to swear by it.
