Well I went to the doctor ...

Complaining of intermittant mild chest pain from the rib cage up on both sides, mild asthmatic symptoms, hoarseness, and occassional acid reflux feeling.

He suspects asthma and gave me Singulair, an inhaler, and Rhinocort.
But the asthma is pretty mild--he had a hard time detecting it.

But I still wonder about the GERD. This all started happening when I began taking 2-3 Alleve a day for a lower back injury (I was also drinking lots of coffee and red wine). After 5-6 weeks of that I started getting weird chest pain and asthmatic symptoms. It is worse in the evening around 5-8pm.

Do cough drops make GERD worse? I have quit coffee (although I still drink tea with milk in it) and wine. Started taking Prilosec a couple of days ago--probably still too early to tell.

Anyone else have problems like this?
