I've posted a couple of threads here earlier, but I have a different question. I am wondering if weight on your stomach while sleeping or laying down will cause a weak LES thus causing acid reflux/gerd symptoms?
My toddlers like to sleep on top of my stomach or sometimes they'll bounce on my stomach. My 3 year old usually sleeps on top of my stomach at night (it comforts her).
Or this is a bit awkward to ask, but can sexual position (missionary style) also cause problems with the LES? I'm thinking that maybe this is causing my throat/indigestion and heartburn problems.
I don't think any of the things you mentioned will "cause" a weak LES. Obviously, if you are prone to reflux and you have pressure on you when you are lying on your back, it might exacerbate your symptoms, especially after eating.
