endoscopy and meds

quick question...I get my first endoscopy on june15th,I will have been on my dexilant60mg for 3 weeks at that time, do u think it will still show whats going on or will the meds make it not show up? just curious,cause GOD knows I want to be better,but I would like to see what it shows.thanx!!

If you do have any major damage, 3 weeks won't make much difference. The esophagus and throat are very sensitive and tend to take longer to really heal up.

On the flip side, I have extremely severe reflux (confirmed through multiple tests) and have had 3 "normal" endoscopies in the last 5 years.

Chances are they will probably do some biopsies regardless.

I hope the Dexilant helps.
