I have an elderly friend who had an endoscopy and it showed inflammation in the stomach, esophagus and small intestine. She hasn't seen the doctor yet but the technician gave her this information. She is already on Protonix and eating light and drinking ensure. In the past she had an ulcer which healed but now this. Any ideas about this wide spread inflamation and how to get it to heal.

Hi, two yrs down the road and I am still looking for an answer to exactly the same thing.
I also had an Ulcer and an Endoscopy/Biopsy revealed I had H.Pylori. After treatment I was left with all your friends symptoms and more. I was prescribed PPIs but only took them for a week as they are very addictive. I just take Aloe Vera juice and OTC antacid (GAVISCON) the rest of the time I just put up with the problem. I wonder If there is a cure at all as it seems whether you take medication or not the symptoms never go completely. All the best, Solofelix.

Sorry to hear your symptoms are continuing. I found out my friend's doctor did take a biopsy during the procedure. She won't know the results until she goes a doctor's app't this week. I hope you get relief soon. My friend said everytime she eats even soft foods it hurts. We'll see what the doctor says.
