I'm new to this but really hope someone can help me.
I've a sharp stabbing pain on the right side of my body, inline with the top of the hip bone about a finger length in. It comes and goes and has been troubling me for about four years, however this last year it has got much worse and become more frequent. When it comes I am doubled over and tearful from the pain. I'm yet to understand what triggers it.
I've had ultrasounds, a CT scan and been to a gynecologist. They have found cysts and a polyp but have said that they are not the cause. No one can give me a diagnoses and it is really affecting my life.
Has anyone had a similar experience or offer advice as what I can do next.
Re: Stabbing pain doctors cant's diagnose. Pls Help
Hi Jane,
Yes the cysts are on the ovary, the doctors have said that they are so small they won't be causing the pain so have never operated but I have an appointment this week and will insist they be removed just so they can be ruled out.
The polyps are on the ovarian wall I think but not 100% - can they be anywhere else?

Well, I honestly have no idea. I had 2 polyps removed from my stomach, and it made no difference to my stomach problems. I don't know much about polyps on other organs, though.
