| PVVN / LSN - has anyone been cured
Ok .. so with this nerve damage theory and the related LPR symptoms and such .. I have one question: Do you know anyone who has been "cured" of the Larangeal Sensory Neuropathy (or PVVN) completely .. with or without the meds: Gabapentin, Klonopin, Elavil etc?
My current symptoms are:
Hurts to swallow in the throat in the middle (feels like a thread stuck in the the throat - and I was diagnosed with left vocal cord paresis).
Slight mucous through the day
Gabapentin at night helps with the symptoms but does not resolve it completely - I can not take more than what I am taking right now as it gives side effects (thoughts to self-harm being the most prominent one).
I can only take Gaviscon Advance (PPIs give me bad side-effects)
I dont feel much heartburn .. and I feel as if I am not refluxing much anymore (my numbers were pretty low anyway). So, most of my problems seem to be VSN/PVVN related at this time. Does this "damage" from the nerves .. and this sensitive throat that has been formed .. does this ever go away?
