Hi ive hadacid reflux for a few years now and its never really bothered me until now,im experiencing throat blockage, shortness of breath and rib and back pain.
I had an endoscopy today where nothing showed up but they took biopsies anyway.
Felt great after endoscopy for around 7 hours till all the pains returned.
My question is why was i never given medication for this and can you still have GERDS with a clear endoscopy?
any reply would be great
Im back in two days for my results
A Biopsy is the correct procedure.
Mine showed H.Pylori and a Hiatal Hernia.
With Acid Reflux you would have a Biopsy to rule out H.Pylori as it is quite common in AR.
In the meantime try GAVISCON 3 x pd. Let us know how things go and Good Luck, Solofelix.

Search online and u will find lasting help rather than DRUGS to cover-up symptoms.
Hi thanks for the reply and advice.
I know I mentioned that I had never been given medication for. Acid reflux but I have never purchased any ant acids or heart urn pills either, to me that is just masking the problem and not helping the root of the cause, plus I would choose natural remedies over drugs any day.
I've seen family members do it only to suffer a heart attack or have duodenal ulcers.
Please may I ask what you find helpful?
Ok then. I tried Pine Nut oil (found it online) -- it worked very, very well but after a period of time, the reflux came back and it didnt work the next time for some reason.
Apple Cider Vinegar. Pls look that up as a remedy for reflux. Sounds counter-intuitive but it balances the pH in the body and many cases of reflux are caused by too little stomach acid, not too much (i do not know how to explain how and i am not stating this very well, I know).
I have always thought about trying ACV but not sure how I would react to it.
I have AR/GERD and I also get Candida in my mouth.
Not sure if this is correct but I believe Vinegar is not recommended on the Candida Diet but I don't know if ACV comes in that category.
I have tried Grapefruit Seed Extract and found it helpful.
What do others think about ACV and its effect on Candida. Solofelix.
I understand your concerns about the ACV.... but honestly, for me anyway, it helped with the Candida symptoms (Candida is quite likely causing ur reflux too IMO). It made the food cravings largely disappear and at the same time, i was juicing a lot (using carrots, apples, celery)... a juice fast really. When i did this and also took the ACV (1 teaspoon in a full glass of water, 2 times a day), i really noticed a difference.
I have seen mixed reactions about taking ACV when one has Candida but again, it really helped me and ive had Candida for YEARS.
It has flared again due to my seeming inability to adhere to a good, healthy diet and avoid the "bad" foods, etc.

Thanks for the reply.
Interesting that it helped your Candida. I will read up on ACV and will more than likely give it a try.
I have a juicer and enjoy taking raw vegetables that way as I cannot digest them otherwise.
I would recommend juicing to people with a delicate stomach as its a good way to get your vitamins. Solofelix.
