Not nessessarily, but if you are taking any type of Anti-Inflamatory
as a pain killer then yes it could well upset your reflux.
They can play havoc with the stomach I should know as they
caused bleeding in my stomach.

Well, the rib injury might, if it changes the way you breathe. But I agree with Solofelix, it's more likely that the anti-inflammatories you took afterward caused the stomach problems.
