Gastritis and GERD

I had an endoscopy 3 weeks ago and found red lining of my stomach, which was mild inflammation in the biopsy. Espophagus, duodenum looked normal. I've had GERD for two months now. I have a GERD right after I eat and queasiness anywhere from immediate to 1 hour after I eat. I've been on Prilosec 40mg 1xday for 3 weeks now. I don't feel like I'm getting better. This morning I really felt queasy and gerdy. How long can it take? Should I got get further blood tests? I've never had GERD nor gastritis like this. I'm male, 45 years old, don't smoke, haven't drank much at all in the last couple months. It's scary. I'm just worried I might have something else related to my liver or pancreas.

Did you have a biopsy for H.Pylori during your Endoscopy.
The PPI (Prilosec) like all PPIs will take a while to work.
I was told that the Nexium I was given should be taken up to eight weeks. For me it worked at around ten days but everyone is different.
The Nausea is awful and for that you should take DOMPERIDONE which I found helpful.
If you feel no better in another week or so you should go back to your Dr .
There are a number of different PPIs you can try.
If you have had blood tests and an Endoscopy that would have shown if there was anything else wrong.
Don't worry as that wont help your stomach and see your Dr. Solofelix.
