I'm taking Prilosec 20 mg 2x a day for acid reflux. I also noticed that I have thrush due to some antibiotics I've taken several weeks ago. My inhaled corticosteroid might also be the culprit for the thrush. I want to take probiotics to help with the candida infection. Will they work together or just make each other ineffective?
Hi,
The answer is No, they will have no adverse effect on each other.
The best answer for Thrush is to take NYSTATIN if its in your mouth. You say you are using an inhaled Corticosteroid, is this for Asthma, if so you can get a devise called a VOLUMATIC SPACER which you use with your inhaler to prevent thrush occurring. I've used one for years and they work great, your Dr will know about it.
Hope this helps and all the best, Solofelix.
I am glad that you answered that question because I was wondering that too. I am back on my Prevacid and take probiotics too. I am hoping they are both doing their job.
