Acid Reflux

Hello all. Have had acid reflux for years and Nexium normally keeps it under control, but lately, it is so bad, I am getting sores in my mouth from the acid & I can feel it eating away at my teeth (& mouth is always dry)- Anyone else experience this? My dr. just gave me some samples of Dexilant, so perhaps that will work better than the Nexium- Anyone else on that? Thanks!

Re: Acid Reflux

For some people, Dexilant works better. For some, it's about the same. Either way, it'll probably take a few days to see the difference.

Are you trying non-drug measures also? Eat smaller meals, avoid trigger foods, etc?

Re: Acid Reflux

Yup, those are hard to give up. Still, this might help convince you:

Skip it 100% for say, two weeks. Then try it again. Notice how much worse you feel after.

If it doesn't make a difference, continue to enjoy. If you feel way worse, you've got the motivation to stay away.
