Is it safe to get a barium swallow while pregnant?
Hi there. I am due for a gerd/acid reflux test in may, and i can possibly be pregnant.
Is it safe to get a barium swallow or any other test to determine gerd/acid reflux while pregnant?

Barium swallow is not recommended while pregnant, because there are x-rays involved. Get a pregnancy test and find out.

An endoscopy does not involve radiation and is safer during pregnancy.
