I had put in a different post a couple of symptoms but have not heard back
K here it goes....I get a cold feeling that lasts for quite a awhile on either side of the rounded part of my ribs close to stomach almost feels like its wet sometimes
Another one is like my intestines seem to roll well it feels that way close to ribs as well
I also get just one spot that feels like a hot poker on the inside right rib/chest by Brest like a circle almost about half size of thumb
All symptoms come and go throughout day
Anyone else get these feelings and if so is it an ulcer or gets or just reflux
I take 30mg twice a day of Prevacid drink about 3-4bottlrs of water..haven't been eating to much lately been under lot of stress/anxiety for past 5 months
Ulcer or reflux? Could be both, they often go hand in hand. You should be asking these questions of your doctor as he needs to know your symptoms.
Pain on the right side could be gallbladder which also can cause digestive issues. But that doesn't mean it is gallblader, a ulcer or even gastritis is enough to cause your symptoms. Hiatal hernias can lead to reflux and can be very uncomfortable around the rib cage area but generally in the center of the rib area, just below. Fact is only testing , scopes and further investigation by your doctor can provide you the real answers.
Thanks for the info
Had an ultrasound no gallstones liver kidneys ok
I have been takin prevacid twice a day for a week
Except yesterday only took one I forgot to take the other one
Seems not to bad this morning had a bit of acid in throat n chest but it seems a bit better
Now...asked my doc bout hiatal hernia he said didn't have one
But he didn't touch me to see either... So I dunno for sure still have to wait for at least a month before gi appt...
Any other advice would be great
Can anyone tell me what types of food to definitely not eat other than chocolate coffee tea n fizzy drinks....as well my doc didn't say how long I should take the Prevacid twice a day I heard it does something about not absorbing minerals or something not quite sure
If anyone could fill me in on that that would bd great
The length of time that you'll have to be on the PPI really is determined by what exactly is causing your symptoms. Even OTC PPIs are typically taken for two weeks, so you'll have to give the medication a little bit more time. You should definitely see some improvement in symptoms after a month, and need to consult your doctor if there is no improvement.
hi all,,still getting symptoms sometimes,,,usually around stomach close by the inside round part of ribs,,still not really sure if the prevacid is working if i should try something else....stress levels have gone down a bit but not much which i know can contribute to more acid production...
thanks for any and all info...
