| Is this LPR?? Going crazy!
Hi
Background:Healthy 47yo female, thin, exercises, eats healthy, no smoking, no alcohol.Always slept on an incline. A few months ago woke up with bad chest pains, running down my arm up my neck. Thought I was having a heart attack. Did EKg, etc. clear. Went to doc, she suggested it was gastro..try PPI's. Took aciphex for a couple days, felt awful on it,continued with Zantac. Then the lump in the throat came. Not just a lump feeling ..but pain a lot of the times. Feelings up and down my esophagus. Can't eat..lost weight. Feelings of asthma, shortness of breath, strangle hold on neck and down throat. Strain when talking for long periods or laughing. So, go to GI endoscopy clean. biopsies clean. upper gi clean except for where she said she saw my esophagus gets "squished" between my airway and some vein. I asked would this cause shortness of breath? She said no. This was after a CT. Went to ENT, checked my nasal and voice box, throat, said he saw no damage. Suggested to stay on Zantac. I am VERY hesitant to go on PPIs so went the natural route with Juicing,DGL, Enzymes, low acidic diet (when I can eat) Nothing is helping!!! The throat constriction and pain in esophagus and breathing are the worst. I do get the cough where when you breathe in you have to cough. Once in a while will feel acid. Feel like food is lodged in throat a lot and full feeling. I don't know what to eat! I don't know if it makes a difference. I know this sounds like lpr..but I haven't formally been diagnosed with it.
