acid reflux, post nasal drip, leg cramps

I have post nasal drip and seasonalbe allergies for years, never really took care of this, which was foolish. I now developed acid reflux. I'm taking Protonix 40mg one pill daily in the morning, and Flusticasone 2-sprays each nostril daily. I am feeling better. I noticed I'm no longer horse or have itchy ears and my ears don't feel as clogged. I HAVE 2-questions:
Could my years of post nasal drip caused my acid reflux?
Can the Protonix be causing my terrible leg cramps, I've been on Protonix since May 20th, and these cramps have been ongoing for several weeks.
Can anyone advise me?
Please help, Thank You Arlene

Re: acid reflux, post nasal drip, leg cramps

Postnasal drip can cause acid reflux disease, and acid reflux can cause postnasal drip. Sometimes it's really tough to figure out what started it all off.

Muscle cramps aren't a common side effect of Protonix, but I suppose it's possible. You could try to stop taking it, or you could add a calcium/magnesium supplement, as Protonix can make it harder for your body to absorb minerals, and low minerals are a common cause of muscle cramps.
