tilted the bed

like someone else said who posted today, who knows whpo will read this but i have some gerd and acid reflux, i am heavier than ive ever been but not obese. but upon researching it, i thot i would try the tilt the bed tactic. BAM it worked..seriously, i guess i am lucky but 2 nites ago i lowerd the foot end of bed just a few degrees and i swear ive had the best 2 nights sleep in a row for maybe years. coincedently, today i had an appt with dr. for routine cholestoral check and told him, he asked if i was on anti anti acid rx (cant expect them to remember all the meds their patients are on) i told him no, but i wouldnt hesitate to ask for some if it got bad. but damn, i think the bed tipping fixed it. i often found myself sleeping in recliner because that would fend off the reflux. i really was concerned because i just lost a freind who was only in 30's, non smoker, ate good and rode his bike all the time, but he told me years ago he was obese and had gerd and that could have doomed him. he was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer and it was a miserable way to go. im due for a colonoscpy soon and am lucky to have insurance that will pay for them doing whatever thats called when they go down your mouth and esophagous and look for stuff too. i mean morphine and methhadone on some days didnt cut it for him. sad. soget it treated people, change diet, dont eat late, im sure you havce all looked into that stuff. but tonight will be nite no. 3 and we'll see how it goes. im tickled. sincerely, keith
