michaeljc70 Newbie (male) Join Date: Sep 2012 Posts: 2	Cough - how long until relief? I had a persistent cough for a long time. The doctor thought it was asthma. Long story short, it is acid reflux. I don't have the cough all the time. I really don't want to be on medication perpetually. My question is if I start taking acid reducers when I have the cough, how long does it take to get relief? I have no other symptoms other than a chalky taste in my throat occasionally.
