Chest soreness.. should I go into see the doc... once again??

I have LPR, and I've been able to keep it at a minimum with a strict diet and lifestyle changes. I stopped taking PPI's about a year ago... they never really helped, diet was the key. The thing now is, I've had some chest soreness, just behind my sternum. It's very mild, and I really only feel it when I take a deep breath. My concern with this soreness is esophageal cancer. I know I have this condition, acid reflux, even if symptoms are kept at a minimum, and with LPR, who knows what's going on in the esophagus silently!! So with this new soreness, you think I should go demand a scope?
