Has anyone else had these symptoms post op Nissen Fundoplication?

I had a Nissen Fundoplication done approximately four months ago and I am having some symptoms after this surgery that I haven't seen being brought up while I browse the Internet. I have the typical stuff but I can handle gas and he like with no problems so I won't even mention those. My diet is back to normal and I even began lifting weights again about three weeks ago. These other symptoms I am having are basically debilitating to me and I'm a young healthy thirty-two year old man. I know I am leaving out a ton of details here so if anyone has any questions please ask away.

Here are the symptoms and my gastroenterologist says they are atypical so he is going to do the upper GI scope this coming week to see what is going on.

Here goes...

Loud tinnitus only in my left ear, pounding heart, constant sweating, partial loss of vision, eyes wiggling back and forth a lot, itchy right eyelid, trouble breathing at times, almost passing out every time I stand up, left pinky and ring finger numb, weak left arm, left pinky and toe next to it are numb, aching deep down feeling in hips and left leg, left foot slowly spasms, back ache in the middle of my back, memory so bad that I can't complete sentences sometimes, I am constantly exhausted, vertigo, head pressure that starts in the back of my head and eventually is in my entire head, plus other things I cannot even remember.

Sounds crazy right?! I'm not crazy even though my former PCP told me it was psychological and prescribed some anti depressant. Some of these symptoms were there in a milder form when I had a really large hiatal hernia bit now they are all worse post op. I have been to an ENT, a neurologist, a cardiologist, an emergency room Dr. After passing out, and now this new Gastroenterologist. They all find the same things. Blood pressure spikes, vertigo, etc. but any other test comes back great. My heart and vessels are fine. My neck is fine. My head is fine. My carotids are fine. I keep telling these knuckleheads that where my wrap was done is where all of this stems from. I can feel the pain getting worse there periodically and I know I'm in for about three days of hell. I'm typing this up quickly on my phone so like I wrote, if anyone has any questions don't hesitate to ask them since I surely left out a ton of details.

Re: Has anyone else had these symptoms post op Nissen Fundoplication?

Sorry to hear you have been going through so much.

I had my NF in 2008. I didn't have any of the symptoms you have listed there after the surgery.

It does sound like maybe something neurological happened during the surgery. With all of the specialists you've seen, you'd think they would have found something.

Some of your ear and facial symptoms could be tied to TMJD. There is a thread at the top of that board. I developed TMJD after my surgery. My orthodontist who is treating me did a thorough health history on me and thinks maybe they were a bit rough on my TMJ during intubation for the surgery. You might find something of interest there.

How did your scope go this week? I had one today myself.

Re: Has anyone else had these symptoms post op Nissen Fundoplication?

Sorry for the late reply. I have been working 84 hours a week lately.

I had my scope done and come to find out I am still having reflux despite the Nissen Fundoplication being done. Biopsies of my esophagus showed that I have developed Barrets Esophagus since my surgery which is a bummer. I'm going in for a few more tests next week to figure out the next step in the process. I was really hoping the surgery would have helped but hey you can't win 'em all.

I really do appreciate the reply. I promise to update this thread better once I get more results from further testing.
