Get your Vitamin D and Vitamin B12 levels tested and optimised!

Seriously everyone, I would strongly recommend that you get your vitamin D and vitamin B12 levels tested and into the optimal range before considering anything more drastric. What if your symptoms could be due to a simple vitamin deficiency? Vitamin D deficiency is rife in Northern Europe and much of North America because of the lack of quality sunshine hours. If you live in one of these areas then it seems there is a high likelihood that you are vitamin D deficient (I am, my partner is and her mother is (all in UK) - we haven't tested any one else yet so that's 3/3 so far!) and this *could* be causing or at least exacerbating your gastrointestinal symptoms.

Look it up, do your research, it could be well well worth it. Don't expect miracles overnight as it does take time to get your levels to the optimal range and then it takes time for the body to fix itself from what I have read. It seems vitamin D is a hormone really and so not to be messed with lightly - it's about the optimal blood level, not the intake.
