Swedish Bitters for GERD

Many people have told me that Swedish Bitters ( a solution of herd extract, traditional medicine from Germany and other countries) has helped/cured them for GERD (bloating, burping, pain etc...). I have tried it but it did not seem to do much for me (I have LPR).
So, if you are so desperate, give it a go. It might help you. Who knows !!!
You can get it in the Health stores or even chemists. All the best.

Re: Swedish Bitters for GERD

I was just researching this myself. You said the bitters did not help? I also researched activated charcoal and ordered someto see if that helps. Have you ever tried that?

I've been battling gerd for a couple years now. The symptoms keep changing over time, which is the frustrating part. For example, now I am getting panic attacks on occasion when my gerd symptoms flare up (the gerd is definitely triggering the anxiety/vagus nerve). I also get a stuffy nose when the other symptoms kick in. I've finally cut out all alcohol and caffeine from my diet, lost weight, I jog regularly now, and went off ALL medications because I was sick of being on them, but I still get annoying symptoms from time to time. Is my body every going to heal? I'm not even 40 years old yet! Next I'll have to try avoiding all dairy, but I've been tested for every allergy there is and no food products turned up. One of my uncles had this and it was linked to dairy so who knows.

Re: Swedish Bitters for GERD

I don't know anything about activated charcoal. Is you get any relief from either Swedish Bitters od Activated charcoal let us know.
About 4 friends of mine got 'cured' by Swedish Bitters. Maybe my GERD is more severe !! Who know with this illness. I have come to term with it and try to live with with, not to fight. Best wishes
