I got into the Respect Study to get the TIF procedure. Turned out I got the sham procedure, now low and behold, I have suddenly come up with a hiatla hernia that I did not have 6 months ago, so I can not have the TIF procedure for free. I feel duped, I went through so much for that study, only to have them give me the shaft in the end. I think, that either I had the hernia and they pretended I didnt and put me in the sham study, or I dont have a large one that will complicate things. I am going to my insurance company and get a true picture of what is going on. I am so heart sick
