Constant burping, muscle twitching

Good afternoon all.

I'm currently having symptoms such as, constant burping, muscle twitching in any part of the body, including the face, discomfort in the sternum area, soreness/discomfort in the area under my right rib cage, horrible gas as well (most of the time it smells like sulfur) and my stomach is always making tons of noises, doesn't sound normal at all. Also, my stools have been really soft and light brown, in pieces. I also get this numbness feeling on my right side under the rib cage every now and then.

I've quit smoking, been smoke free for a little over a month now. The symptoms did lessen, but they're still there and quite annoying. These symptoms get worse if I'm on an empty stomach (especially in the morning and in between meals) and if I've had lack of sleep. I know I do have symptoms of anxiety, but I'm pretty sure it's being caused from these other symptoms I'm having. Anyone have any clue on what I'm going through? I had a ultrasound on my stomach about a month ago and havent heard anything, so I'm assuming the results came back negative.

Re: Constant burping, muscle twitching

UPDATE: Symptoms are still here, I've tried taking digestive enzymes cause I heard it could be caused by low stomach acid. The enzymes created this burning sensation in my stomach after a while so I'm assuming thats not the case. Anybody have any idea? The muscle twitches can happen anywhere, from any part of my face to all the way down to the feet.

Sounds like you could have acid reflux. The "discomfort in the sternum area" sounds like heartburn. Heartburn sometimes manifests this way.

All of the other symptoms are consistent too, except the twitching. That might be the anxiety.

Who ordered the ultrasound and why? Where they looking for someting in particular?

Re: Constant burping, muscle twitching

Try a magnesium supplement. Mag helps control the nervous system. It helped me a lot, and I had some of the same symptoms you're describing. It can also be stress. Do you have anti-anxiety meds? If not, you should get some temporaries and see how they help. You may also need to stay away from all alcohol and caffeine for a while. For a non-med solution try chewing ginger candy and drinking a 50/50 mix of aloe vera juice with something like lemonade or iced tea.
