Suffering From Gastritis

Hi Guys/Girls,

I'm a 24 yrs old "mild chronic gastritis" suffer of 20 weeks while on Nexium 40mg.

I'm thinking about going "Natural" and riding myself of the ineffective "purple pill".

Has anyone ever got off the meds, or used natural vitamins and minerals to clear up gastritis?

Hi I also have the same diagnosis. How have you been feeling, I'm on my 7th week and still feel like death. What type of symptoms do you have?

Re: Suffering From Gastritis

I have had mild gastritis before and took Bentyl occasionally and ate yogurt 1-2 times a day and that stopped it. Hope that helps.

Re: Suffering From Gastritis

I can't remember how long it lasted, has been a long time ago but I believe it was a month or so. I had loose stools that seemed to go on forever.

You are far safer going natural if you can, as the longer you are on nexium the harder it can be to get off them. I am tapering off PPIs. I find the most helpful thing is taking DGL licorice. To heal gastritis you need an anti-inflammatory diet and avoid anythng rich, spicy, hot, or cold, anything with alcohol, coffee etc and take lots of veg for vitamins.
