That's it. Ive had it. Im using B5. Please tell me everything you know about b5!
I thought my breakouts were temporary- and it was looking better, but cystic pimples just keep coming up. Im frustrated and now I just ordered a crapload of B5 (60 pills of 1000mg) and im going to take 5g a day... I dont have acne everywhere, about 3 big cystic pimples on my face at any one time but it always looks really bad... I was wondering does everyone ALWAYS need to take it for 3 months for moderate acne? Is it possible that I can take it for a month and I can stop using it? Secondly, after the acne is gone, is it necessary to take a maintainence dose?
I just want to know if anyone has used B5 to take their acne away and then they stopped using B5 without th acne coming back. (someone please say yes). I know for most people its b5 forever....
Ive kinda asked these questions in other threads, but Im putting this crazy vitamin in my body based on one study and just threads on the internet so I just need some more references to back up what Im doing to my body.
I'm about three weeks into B5, i've noticed a big difference. My face isn't perfect but its so so so much better. I'm really happy with the results. One thing i have noticed tho, is that i feel energentic and then really tired. not sure if this is related. I never got cycst before, so i cant relate there. But i hope things for out for you, keep in mind you should be taking 10g a day. 15min before meals. Lots of water, and make sure you take your other B vitamins.

Unfortunately, you don't know what you're doing to your body. As you've seen, there have been no other studies (but one) that supports B5 as a treatment for acne, and there have been NO studies that examine the long-term effects on the body.
Now you're feeling hyper, then lethargic?? Scary stuff.
