Post Jojoba Oil vs. Aloe Vera, please help!!

Can someone tell me what the difference is between Jojoba and Aloe Vera? Recently I've read a lot about Jojoba and Aloe applications for Acne but I'm not exactly sure what they DO, you know?

I'm more interested in the Aloe, I know that Jojoba is vey similar to the skin's sebum and dissolves any hardened sebum, brings it to the surface and then keeps pores clear from then on. But what does Aloe do??? Why does it work??

Aloe vera simply gives minerals and vitamins directly to your skin. It also has many detoxifiers so it has been pretty popular on this board. I dont use joboba oil, nor have it, but I know it is very good for dry flaky skin and apparently it makes skin feel soft and smooth. Hope this helps.

Good luck!

Jojoba oil mimicks sebum, the oil the can clog pores. Therefore by using it you will see a decrease in oiliness. Also, since the molecules are small enough to get deep into the pore, it will bring out any dirt or other material in the pore, leaving only clear skin. This is a slow process happening over about a month so you won't have a huge breakout right at the beginning. It is fantastic. I would recommend it to anyone, with or without acne. Read some of Marti's posts on the Skin board, she is truly an expert and can answer all of your questions. Hope this helps.
