I just wanted to let you all know that I recently went to my doctor to have blood work done and it has been found that I am suffering some liver problems which seem to be due to my taking B5. I have been using B5 for nearly 2 years ( started in May 2001 ) and never exceeded 2 grams a day. Now I know that everyone is different, but I think it might be a good idea for anyone contemplating starting B5 and those still taking it to consult their doctor about it.
When I first started taking B-5 a year ago, I asked my internal physician if it was safe and at what dosages. He said Pantothenic Acid, along with other water-soluble vitamins are safe up to 10 grams daily.
Like you said though, people are different and their bodies tolerate vitamins/minerals/medication differently so your advice for caution is hopefully well-heeded.
I hope your condition improves, and God bless.
