How may have had success with Minocycline?

Hello,
I am going to the doc tomorrow and asking for a prescription for Minocycline. I had tried 4 years ago and it worked wonders for me but then I stopped using it when my refills expired. Has anyone had any success with it and what dosage were you given? I think I was taking 100mg? Also has anyone been given a topical to go with the oral Minocycline? If so what works for you? Thanks

Re: How may have had success with Minocycline?

I am on minocycline along with duac gel and I have been on it for a month, I don't think that it's long enough to really see any improvements so I am not sure if it is working yet or not. Hopefully, within the next few weeks I will start to really notice if it is working. But I have to say that I am pretty happy with the duac gel that I am using to go with the minocycline.

Ive been using Minocycline and Retin A for about 8 months now, the results are alright, dont think of it as a cure for acne, it still is there, i get pimples here and there but not as much as i used to. it does stop them from becoming big and coming to the surface, but i have lots of red spots and blemishes that it doesnt help with. But go ahead and get that prescription, its worth it.
