Re: Zits on my Chin

Hi Bru
I'm 18 and female and my chin was always the worst place on my face. My sister's worse is her cheeks. Anyhow, both of us have had results going on the pill (which I know isn't an option for you) and using Azelex. We also used Bactrim and that helped alot as well. We both tried all the retinoids and taz, but it was just too harsh. Good luck.

That definately sounds like cystic/hormonal acne which tends to happen around the mouth, cheeks and jawline. How long have you used Proactiv? Whenever you start a skincare routine, you should give it atleast a month to work because it takes 28 days for your skin to regenerate itself.

Your best bet is to see a dermatologist, as he can prescribe you a medication like retin-A, differin gel, or clyndamycin.

Another routine that may work is:

Using a gentle, non drying cleanser
1 treatment product to address the acne (gels works best for oily or combination skin, creams and lotions are good for dry skin)
and 1 gentle moisturizer to use on dry areas.

If you want any product recommendations let me know
Good luck.

I've been there man. When i started to break out bad a couple of years ago, I tried pro-activ. I tell ya what, that is the biggest load of ********. Pro-activ is the worst product i have ever used. NOt only did it make my acne worse, but my skin was beat red and irritated to hell. Taht is when i switched to just using a facial cleanser. Phisoderm facial cleanser is what i used and still use. It is awesome. The best product i have ever used in my life. Also, my friends have had a **** ton of success using vitamin b5 to treat their acne. Maybe this is an option you should consider?
Anyway, those are just a few suggestions.
