I think it would be very helpful if people posted the type of acne they had, mild or severe, and what food caused their acne. This way we could see if its milk, white flour, fried food, refined sugar or chocolate.
My overall dietary pattern is what caused my acne, not one or two specific foods. Eliminating all of the following cured my adult, severe, cystic acne:
"Hydrogenated oils, heated oils (except saturated fats like coconut oil), fortified foods, refined sugar, refined white anything (rice, flour, bread, sugar etc), extreme denatured foods (like cheetos, denatured grain cereals), dairy and all products containing dairy from supplement products to food products, eggs + gluten in the beginning. Also excess caffeine and excess alcohol."
It wasn't until I eliminated these and replaced lost nutrients that my acne was gone completely. If I eat like this again, it comes back. I am still very sensitive to dairy in this fashion. I don't eat like this, and my acne is gone forever. I don't even have to wash my face. I have clear skin all the time.
Well I'll tell you, Thomas, It wasn't very fun having acne. Fun doesn't revolve around food. Fun is doing what you are truly interested in, not occupying yourself with food or entertainment.
Here is a list:
-Brown rice pasta
-any RAW nut or seed (as long as it isn't poisonous like acorns which must be processed)
-again any raw nut or seed
-legumes (soak beans overnight) Eating beans and brown rice together is a good combination for protein
-meat that is not "cured" (real meat and not packaged sandwhich meats)
-For fish choose wild alaskan salmon or sardines if you like them
Sweeteners: Honey, Real maple syrup, stevia, agave nectar
You know what else, Thomas? It did more than simply get rid of my acne. It gave me my life back. It liberated me from food addiction. It helped clear my mind and heal my body. It has made me feel much better. It extended my lifespan. It relieved a considerable amount of depression. In all, it probably saved my life.
