please reply

i heard that it's bad to use vitamins for more that 3 months. i use 50mg of zinc daily. for how long can i use it like this? do i need to make a break or something? and, is 25mg daily enough? i appreciate your answers.

I've never heard of a general rule that says taking vitamins for more than three months is bad. For what it's worth, I think you should be fine. What was the source of your information?

my mother. she said she saw that on a tv. it's very possible that is not true and that's the reason why i made this post. anyway, thanks. anyone else?

If she's anything like my mum she'll have made it up to stop me from spending too much money on the pills. I'm taking about 10g of vitamin B5 daily at the moment and when I told my mum she hit the roof and told me it was a big waste of dosh. But I can see the results and I know it's not. Btw, I don't mean to suggest that your mum is as bad as mine

i never heard a three month rule...there are some things that you are supposed to "pulse", like echinacea, you should take 3 days, skip 2, or take 2 weeks, skip 1, that sort of thing.

I've always thought 25mg of zinc, or 50mg every other day is enough. Too much zinc has adverse results, and if you've been taking 50 for a while now, you can probably drop back a bit without worries.
