I think you need to be leary of any doctor who makes promises. I first questioned my derm's expertise when he prescribed accutane to me and completelly minimized the seriousness, side effects, when he prescribed it not as a last resort and when he told me how rare it is to even have to go on accutane twice. he wrote the prescription and was out the door in 2 minutes. I chose not to fill it and am doing vitamins/herbs, new skin care (mainly glycolic acid products) and yasmin bc--and ya know what--it has all cleared me up way better than the worthless antibiotics he prescribed me for years that made me worse. it is a slow process though and not a quick fix to try non-medical methods--ive been doing this 8 weeks.
